The Fishermen Blues
Brothers Govind Raj Bamshi (L) and Rabindra Raj Bamshi (R) have been fishing in the Bomshali River for the past forty years. The river is their source of livelihood but with rapid industrialization, all they have been catching is trouble. “The river is of no use. There’s no fish and the water is unfit for anything. The garment companies have ruined us. Even the soil is losing its fertility,” they say.
